When to Replace
A weak or failed run capacitor can cause the washer to hum without starting, fill without agitating, fail to spin, or start the motor slowly or intermittently. Replacing the capacitor can restore motor starting and stable operation during wash and spin cycles when the capacitor is the cause of the symptom.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect the washer from electrical power before servicing.
- Check the old capacitor's capacitance, voltage rating, terminal arrangement, and mounting position against this part before installation.
- Transfer the wires to the matching terminals and secure the capacitor in its mounting position.
- Use the washer model and the specifications of the removed part to confirm fitment before purchase or installation.
